One Among Many
“The essence of our effort to see that every child has a chance must be to assure each an equal opportunity, not to become equal, but to become different - to realize whatever unique potential of body, mind and spirit he or she possesses”

Little Hermit Crab
Hermit crabs are decapod crustaceans of the superfamily Paguroidea. They are not closely related to true crabs.
Most frequently hermit crabs use the shells of sea snails; the tip of the hermit crab's abdomen is adapted to clasp strongly onto the columella of the snail shell. As the hermit crab grows in size, it has to find a larger shell and abandon the previous one.
This habit of living in a second hand shell gives rise to the popular name "hermit crab", by analogy to a hermit who lives alone.

The Wet Market
Through the water
Slippy, sloppy
Past the meat men
Chippy, choppy
Round the fish stalls
Slimy, scaley
Stop to buy prawn balls.
Shout for veggies
Higgle, haggle
Grab some bean sprouts
Wiggle, waggle
Wrap the dou foo
Wibble, wobble
Glad we're all done
Phew!

To Begin Again
One of the best things we can do in our lives is this:
Begin again.
Begin to see yourself as you were
When you were the happiest and strongest you've ever been.
Begin to remember what worked for you
(and what worked against you),
And try to capture the magic again.
Begin to remember how natural it was when you were a child --
To live a lifetime each day.
Begin to forget the baggage you have carried with you
For years:
The problems that don't matter anymore,
The tears that cried themselves away,
And the worries that are going to wash away
On the shore of tomorrow's new beginnings.
Tomorrow tells us it will be here every new day of our lives;
And if we will be wise,
We will turn away from the problems of the past
And give the future -- and ourselves -- a chance
To become the best of friends.
Sometimes all it takes is a wish in the heart to let yourself ..
Begin again.

Spread those wings
Happiness is a butterfly,
which when pursued,
is always just beyond your grasp,
but which, if you will sit down quietly,
may alight upon you.

More of the Little Yellow Bird
A wise old owl sat on an oak; The more he saw the less he spoke; The less he spoke the more he heard; Why aren't we like that wise old bird?

Little Yellow Bird
Yellow bird, up high in banana tree.
Yellow bird, you sit all alone like me.
Did your lady friend leave the nest again?
That is very sad, makes me feel so bad.
You can fly away, in the sky away.
You're more lucky than me.
I also had a pretty girl, she's not with me today.
They're all the same those pretty girls.
Take tenderness, then they fly away.
Yellow Bird, yellow bird.
Did your lady friend leave the nest again?
That is very sad, makes me feel so bad.
You can fly away, in the sky away.
You're more lucky than me.
Wish that I were a yellow bird, I'd fly away with you.
But I am not a yellow bird, So here I sit.
Nothing I can do.
Yellow bird, yellow bird.
